JULES (he/him)
Jules is a Montreal-based photographer whose mission for the past few years has been to elevate the work of up-and-coming artists and, primarily, members of the LGBTQ+ community. His goal is to show each person in their uniqueness while giving them a platform of their own, as if each shoot was dedicated to a particular editorial. He adapts his colourful approach to each of the people he meets in order to provide a personalized and unique result, combining elements of classic portraiture and the world of fashion. Having had a long career in theatre, his work combines elements of staging with photography. Jules likes to include people and immerse them in his universe.
What is the most important detail in your practice?
I think that one of the details I pay the most attention to in my practice is to always offer a photo session with a good atmosphere and good listening from my team. I like working with people who have unique points of view and it's important for me to respect their image and to highlight them.
