How to apply

If you wish to submit your application to become a Details talent, here’s what we’ll need from you:

  • at the moment, we are only considering applications from people based in Montreal.

  • your work schedule must be flexible, shoots happen on week days.

  • recent headshots or neutral selfies pro tip: good daylight, no makeup or minimal, relaxed face + smiling

  • a little bit about yourself + mention any specific talents (sports, artistic practice, etc), we are interested in the details that make you “you.”

  • your measurements (height, chest, waist, hips) + usual clothing size (in an effort to ensure we have a diverse team, we like to know that not all of our models wear the same sizes)

  • optional but very appreciated: your Instagram account, more photos of yourself (previous modelling experience, etc), anything that gives us more insight into who you are is welcome :)

More about the process

Details is a one-person run agency and we receive a big number of applications, so I unfortunately can’t get to everyone. Applications emails are reviewed around once a month.

After receiving applications, we consider the following:

  • is this someone that has a flexible work schedule

  • is this person based in Montreal

  • is this a profile that is different from our current roaster or different from similar ones we have or that has a little ✨something✨ (part of it is looks, part of it is personality)

  • is this someone that our clients would be interested in working with

  • does the person have experience or seem at ease in front of the camera (experience isn’t required, but if you’re uncomfortable in front of the camera, I recommend developing that before trying to join agencies)

If the profile is of interest for details, I usually reach out and set up a meeting where I introduce everything re: how we work, what we do, who we work with, etc. I take the time to explain our contracts and the industry in broad strokes — and get to chat with the potential talent and see if we think it can be a match. if all seems to point in the right direction, I email you the contract after the meeting, let you review it and once it is signed, we take it from there.
