STEPH (she/they)
As a multidisciplinary artist, Stéphanie was aiming for a career in the performative arts (theatre/music/dance). At the beginning of her twenties, after long periods of anxiety, she left theatre school to transition to visual arts. Since then, she opened L’ensemble vide, a small brand that counts on her intimacy practice in drawing and screen printing. She also opened a printing studio with her partner and published a few poetic zines. By joining DETAILS, she wishes to reconnect with her childhood dreams and with body expression, and to give herself permission to take down perceived limits or barriers in the fashion and image industry.
Which Detail is most important to you in your practice?
In my practice as a model, the detail that matters to me most at this time is permission. I want to give myself permission to further explore my desires and my ideas, but also my limits and zones of discomfort. I want to give myself permission to have ambitions and public aspirations without them defining me as superficial or egocentric. I give myself permission to own my power and to reinvent myself, in the body I have, at the age I am.
