MIAMBI (she/her)
Queer model and movement artist, Miambi is originally from the charming city of Ottawa. Her upbringing, shaped by the nomadic rhythm of military life, instilled in her a strong sense of adaptability and curiosity from a very young age. These early experiences, along with being of mixed background, fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultures and embrace of change. Now based in the artistic hubs of Toronto and Montreal, Miambi's creative spirit flourishes. As a multifaceted artist, she graces stages and lenses alike, weaving narratives through movement and form. Extending her passion beyond the spotlight, Miambi works as a choreographer and dance instructor. She fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment aiming to empower aspiring dancers, encouraging them to embrace growth and self-discovery.
What inspires you the most from your practice?
The act of realizing both my own and others’ artistic visions resonates deeply with me. Witnessing fellow creatives achieve their goals and create work they take pride in is profoundly gratifying.
