ETIENNE N. (he-him)
Etienne Nagao, a 25-year-old Japanese Canadian residing in Montreal, is a recent graduate of Concordia University with a degree in political science. Despite his academic background, Etienne discovered his true passion lies in creative pursuits. He is an avid music producer, skateboarder, and clothing designer, finding immense joy and fulfillment in these forms of self-expression. With a rich blend of cultural influences and a diverse skill set, Etienne is now eagerly seeking to channel his creativity into a career that aligns with his artistic passions.
What is the most important detail in your practice?
I think that openness to try and learn is the most important detail in my practice. I find the most pleasure in taking on a new creative project and following my feet without any discouragement to stop me from pursuing it. In this day and age I feel that it is easy to be discouraged by comparing your abilities with someone else, however I find much youthfulness comes from creating without any convictions about yourself and following what brings you the most fulfillment.
