DONA (she/her)
Dona is a multidisciplinary facilitator, artist, organizer, and cultural worker. Her practice and methodologies are inspired by regenerative patterns within nature, stories of resilience and diaspora, and the expansive and evolving work of what it means to decolonise, to heal, to love, and to seek truth, even in the darkest of places. You can learn more on her website.
What is the most important detail in your practice?
Presence & Energy. For me energy can be reading the room and understanding where a group wants to go as a facilitator. It can be transmitting my emotions and thoughts into words or images as an artist. It can be holding space. It can be embodying an epic song on the dancefloor. Just being present with what is and not forcing but flowing.
