SOPHIA (she/her)
Sophia is a model and writer-for-fun. Originally from Vancouver, Sophia has been enjoying living in Tiohti:áke (Montreal) since 2017. This is the place where she has felt that she could become her most true self thus far. She began modeling with the intention of bringing more Southeast Asian representation to the media that surrounds us, something she rarely witnessed growing up. She would like to see beauty standards evolve to a more realistic and inclusive level and wishes to showcase this authenticity through her work. Cooking is a passion of hers and she finds creativity and love through it. She has also always been strongly drawn to writing, design, branding, and making spaces feel like home.
What is the most important detail in your practice?
Being open to trying new things and feeling comfortable in my own body and skin.
